PATTERN NOTES:
Yarn/Yardage: Sample was crocheted out of Yarn Bee ID (80% acrylic, 20% polymide; 142 grams per 252 yards) in the Rose Water Colorway. Any 80 (100, 120) grams of worsted weight yarn will do.
Gauge: 20 Stitches X 12 Rounds over 4 inches in Half Double Crochet
Hook: H/5mm. Or size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: Yarn Needle, scissors
Sizes: There are 3 sizes in pattern, Small, Medium, Large, and they measure 12, 15, 18 inches in circumference respectively. The differing instructions for each size are written as 1 (2, 3). Please note pattern repeat is loose and so will fit a wider variety of heads than just their respective measurements.

Pattern:
Crown:
ch 2, hdc 12 sts into second ch from hook. Sl st into first st (12 sts).
Rnd 1: ch2, hdc into same st, 2hdc into every st around (24 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 2, 2hdcs into next st, [hdc 1, 2hdcs into next st] all the way around, sl st into top of ch 2 (36 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 2, hdc 1, 2hdcs into next st, [hdc 2, 2hdcs into next st] all the way around, sl st into top of ch 2 (48 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 2, hdc 2, 2hdcs into next st, [hdc 3, 2hdcs into next st] all the way around, sl st into top of ch 2 (60 sts)
Size Medium and Large:
Rnd 5: ch 2, hdc 3, 2hdcs into next st, [hdc 4, 2hdcs into next st] all the way around, sl st into top of ch 2 (72 sts)
Size Large:
Rnd 6: ch 2, hdc 4, 2hdcs into next st, [hdc 5, 2hdcs into next st] all the way around, sl st into top of ch 2 (84 sts)
All Sizes, Pattern Repeat:
Set Up:
Ch 1, [ch 3, sk the next 2 sts, sc into next st] all the way around, ending with ch 3, sk the next 2 sts, sl st into first ch.
Rnd 1 (RS): ch 3 (counts as double crochet), dc 1 into same space, [sc into ch 3 space, 3dc into next st] all the way around, ending with sc 1 into ch 3 space, dc 1 into same space as first ch 3 of Rnd. Sl st into top of ch 3.
Rnd 2 (RS): ch 1, [ch 3, sk 3 sts, sc into next dc] all the way around, ending with ch 3, sk 3 sts, sl st into first ch 1 of rnd.
Repeat Rnds 1 & 2 for 6 (8, 10) repeats, or until hat is desired length.
Next Rnd: ch 2, [hdc 1 into ch 3 space, hdc 1 into next st] all the way around, ending with hdc into ch 3 space, sl st into top of ch 2
Ribbing:
Set Up:
Ch 10, sc into second ch from hook, sl st 2 sts from hat. Turn.
R1: BLO sc into 3 ch from hook, BLO sc to end
R2: ch 1, BLO sc 9 sts, sl st 2 sts from hat. Turn
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until there are no more sts from hat. Fold ribbing inside out and sl st starting edge to working edge.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
