Beyond The Double Collection; Bridge Cowl

PATTERN NOTES:

Yarn/Yardage: Sample was made with Knit Pick's Brava (100% premium acrylic; 218 yards per 100 grams) in the Eggplant colorway. Any 100 gram skein of worsted weight yarn will do.

Gauge: 16 stitches and 8 rows over 4 inches in Double Crochet stitch.

Notions: scissors, yarn needle

Hook: 5.0 mm (size H). Or whatever size needed to obtain gauge.

Finished Measurements: Finished cowl measures 26 inches in circumference and 6.5 inches in width. Finished measurements may vary due to different gauge and yarn types.

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

dc- Double Crochet

R- Row

RS- Right Side

sc- Single Crochet

sk- skip

st(s)- stitch(es)

WS- Wrong Side

Special Stitches: Chain-less Starting Stitch (CSS); alternative to turning chain

Turn work, ready to work across row. Pull working loop long, twist hook to go under loop (making a yarn over), and work regular double crochet into first stitch. This will give you straighter edges than turning chains.
