Roman Clusters Stitch Pattern

Roman Clusters Cowl Pattern:

PATTERN NOTES:

Yarn/Yardage: Sample was crocheted out of an unknown worsted weight yarn. Any 110 grams of Worsted yarn will be fine for the cowl. Use two different skeins for a color blocked effect!

Hook: 5.5 mm. Or size needed for Gauge.

Gauge: 16 stitches over 4 inches in Double Crochet Stitch

Finished Size: Sample Cowl measures 8.5 inches wide by 24 inches in circumference. Length and width are easily adjustable by repeating the pattern repeat more or less times, and chaining more or less stitches.

Stitch pattern is a pattern repeat of 10 + 4

Set Up:

Ch 34.

Dc into the 3ed ch from hook, 1 dc, [ sk3, {(cluster, ch 3) 2x, cluster} in the same st, sk 3, 3 dc] rep to end

Pattern Repeat:

Row 1: ch 2, 3 dc, [ch 3, sk cluster, sc in the next cluster, ch 3, sk cluster, 3 dc] rep to end

Row 2: ch 2, 3 dc, [{(cluster, ch 3) 2x, cluster} in the sc st, sk 3, 3 dc] rep to end

Rep Rows 1 & 2 until cowl measures x, or until desired length. For Sample Cowl, 30 repeats were done, and colors changed after 15 repeats.

Once cowl is desired length, cut yarn and fasten off. Seam cast off edge to finished edge. Weave in ends.

Congratulations on finishing your cowl!
