Needles: 32 inch circular needle for magic loop in size US 8 (5.mm), or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished Size: Patter has 3 sizes, meant for approximate head circumferences 8 (10, 12) inches.

K2tog- knit 2 stitches together as one

Pattern:
CO 40 (48, 56) sts on circular needle. Divide evenly and pull cord long, preparing to knit magic loop. You should have 20 (24, 28) sts on each needle tip. Join in the rnd, being careful not to twist.
Hat:
Rnd 1: k
K until hat measures approximately 2.5 (3, 3.5) inches; 19, 23, 27 rnds, if round gauge matches.
Crown Decreases:
Rnd 1: k6, k2tog
Rnd 2 (and every other rnd): k all sts
Rnd 3: k5, k2tog
Rnd 5: k4, k2tog
Rnd 7: k3, k2tog
Rnd 9: k2, k2tog
Rnd 11: k1, k2tog
Rnd 13: k2tog
Cut yarn. Thread Yan needle and cinch closed. Weave in ends.
